Our parish exists to advance the Christian faith in accordance with the teachings and practices of the Romanian Orthodox Church in the city of Doncaster and the surrounding area.
The Romanian Orthodox Church For Doncaster is dedicated to:
The Romanian Orthodox Church is one of the autocephalous (self-governing) churches of Eastern Orthodoxy. With roots stretching back to the earliest centuries of Christianity, the Romanian Church maintains the ancient faith, worship, and traditions handed down from the Apostles.
We preserve the Orthodox Christian faith as received from the Apostles, the Church Fathers, and the Seven Ecumenical Councils.
Our worship follows the Byzantine liturgical tradition, with the Divine Liturgy at its heart, celebrated in Romanian and English.
Icons, sacred music, and liturgical arts help lift our hearts and minds to God in prayer and worship.
We are a family of faith, supporting one another and welcoming all who seek Christ.
